Our Most Recent Past Project

We are very proud to announce the release of our first project, The Gravy Queen, a tribute to Veleen Durrant (our mother) whose quiet wisdom and encouragement penetrated our childhood in a very golden, enriching way -- just like gravy. Leo's wry humor and wit are woven through the poems, creating pools of poignancy. The book contains secret family recipes handed down from mouth to mouth--some of which were never written down until now. There's also a sense of mothering. To all who have no mother, we'll loan you ours for a spell. And to those who have recently lost a loved one, the book offers a path to comfort and healing. We welcome all to share her life with us in the pages of The Gravy Queen.



All (100%--every bit--every last nickel) of the proceeds on this first edition will go directly to aid the Haitian orphanage, Foyer de Sion. Times are hard there. There's a food shortage, funds are short, and the political situation is unstable. And to top it all off, there are adoption delays after delays that prevent these children from going to their forever families. Please check out their website to see what you can do to help.
