Q: What do you mean "All proceeds will be donated to charity?"
A: For our first project (The Gravy Queen), thanks to a generous donation from our father, we do not have to cover publishing costs. You will pay $10.00 for the book. All of that will go to Foyer de Sion. If you buy it online, you will pay $3.00 shipping and handling. That will go towards the shipping cost (of course). If you live in the great state of Idaho, you will also pay Idaho state sales tax (6%) on the purchase price (not on the shipping and handling).

Q: Is my purchase tax deductible?
A: Unfortunately, Piggy Ink is not classified as a non-profit organization. Since you are buying the book from us, you cannot claim it as a deduction. We first thought to have the selected charity sell the books, but in order to not interfere with their non-profit status, they would have had to sell them for an exorbitant amount. To limit your cost, we have chosen to sell them, then donate all proceeds.

Q: Can I specify an extra amount in my payment to go to the charity?
A: If you would like to give a small amount over the purchase price, you may do so by selecting the "Add to Cart" button next to the "Extra Gravy" image on our Current Projects page. This will donate $1 extra. You may increase the quantity to increase your donation amount. If you wish to give a large donation, we would prefer that you donate it directly to them, as they will most likely get the funds sooner, and your donation would be tax deductable. Q: Is The Gravy Queen your only project?
A: The Gravy Queen is our first project. There will be many charitable projects to come, each with their own beneficiary. And while the percentage rate of charitable proceeds may vary, you can rest assured with PIGGY Ink, that we will always donate the maximum amount of the proceeds possible to charity.
